How to Get Started
Are you ready to settle your Charleston divorce case with less time, money, and stress than traditional litigation? You are encouraged to contact our Summerville mediation office by telephone or email to schedule a date for flat-fee divorce mediation. Our goal is to help you reach a complete settlement agreement and settle your case in one day!
If either party has an attorney, the attorney should contact our office instead.

We will need some basic information about both parties. We will then send a pre-mediation packet to you, with "homework" for both parties to complete prior to mediation. You will need to collect some financial information and tell us a bit about your family and goals. We will also give you instructions on how to pay your deposit for mediation. Parties typically split the costs of mediation, but they are not required to do so.

Please note that our goal at mediation is to help parties reach a complete, written settlement agreement resolving all or most of the issues of your case. When serving as a mediator, we are not allowed to also act as an attorney for either party. That means one or both parties will still need to hire counsel to help with filing the agreement with the Court and obtaining Court approval of the agreement (and a divorce or Decree of Separate Support and Maintenence if applicable). However, if all of the issues of your case are already resolved at mediation, many people save substantial time and money with early mediation. We are happy to provide a list of referrals for attorneys in the area who can help, or you may choose your own Summerville divorce lawyer.
